This permanent, four-day-per-week position combines clinical nursing with day surgery administration at a boutique specialist day surgery in Sydney's CBD. On theatre days, you will work in Recovery and/or Anaesthetics, caring for patients throughout their surgical experience and working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the nursing team. On non-theatre days, you will work alongside the Director of Nursing to support the day-to-day running of the facility, gaining valuable insight into the operational side of a boutique day surgery while remaining closely connected to patients and the clinical team. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients by supporting them throughout their surgical journey.

Key responsibilities

Provide Recovery and/or Anaesthetic nursing care for patients throughout their surgical experience

Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the nursing team on theatre days

Support the Director of Nursing with day-to-day facility operations on non-theatre days

Provide pre-operative care, theatre support, recovery care and post-operative support





Work proactively and contribute positively within a small team

Use clinical judgement, take ownership and look for practical solutions

Contribute ideas to the ongoing development of the day surgery

Become involved with the skin care clinic, either using existing knowledge or learning new skills

About you

Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration

Experience in Recovery and/or Anaesthetics is highly regarded

Excellent communication skills and caring approach

Strong commitment to patient care
