Lead a High-Performing Team and Deliver Better Outcomesfor NSW

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced andmotivated leader to join NSW Fair Trading as Team Leader, Registries. You will lead a customer-focused team delivering registry, regulatory andadministrative services in a multifaceted environment that administerslegislation for a significant part of the NSW not-for-profit sector.

You will provideleadership, guidance and operational oversight while ensuring the teammeets customer service,regulatory and operational standards. You will manage complex and sensitive matters, provide specialist advice onlegislative and regulatory requirements, and support consistent, fair and effective regulatory outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to influence outcomes, strengthenstaff capability and improve business processes as Fair Trading’s regulatory servicescontinue to evolve across NSW.

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $ base plus superannuation.

About the Role

- Lead and manage a team that handles complex and sensitive matters, fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Oversee work allocation, priorities and performance to achieve service standards and business objectives.
- Apply specialised knowledge of legislation, policy and procedures to resolve complex matters and support appropriate regulatory and customer outcomes.




- Coach and provide feedback to strengthen staff capability and performance.
- Monitor, analyse and report on workloads, trends and emerging issues to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain contemporary knowledge of legislation, regulatory requirements and business processes.
- Review and improve processes to enhance service delivery, customer experience and responsiveness to changing business needs.
- Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to broader business outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams in a regulatory, compliance, governance, investigations or similar service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with sound judgement and experience managing complex complaints and case matters.
- Clear communication and effective stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a high-volume environment.
- Experience analysing operations and implementing practical service improvements.
- A robust commitment to customer service and NSW public sector values.
