We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Procurement Specialist to support the delivery of strategic procurement initiatives across UnitingCare. Working within our Procurement & Supply team, you'll play a key role in sourcing goods and services efficiently, cost‑effectively and compliantly while supporting the development and execution of procurement strategies across a range of non‑clinical spend categories. This is an exciting opportunity to influence procurement outcomes in one of Queensland's largest not‑for‑profit organisations while partnering with clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to deliver sustainable value, supply continuity and commercial excellence.

In this role, you will:

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies across assigned spend categories.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation and value improvement.
- Conduct market research, supplier analysis and procurement planning activities.
- Support RFQs, RFPs, tenders and strategic sourcing projects.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and provide sourcing recommendations.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships while supporting negotiations, rebates and service agreements.
- Develop, review and manage contracts while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and governance frameworks.
- Partner with clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver procurement solutions.
- Analyse spend data, monitor procurement benefits and identify opportunities to generate measurable commercial value.
- Support procurement operations including supplier onboarding, purchase orders, reporting and supply continuity initiatives.

What makes a difference for us?

- Demonstrated experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, contract management and supplier relationship management.
- Experience leading and supporting RFQ, RFP and tender processes.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
- Knowledge of procurement governance, risk management and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency using procurement systems, ERP platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly regarded: Qualifications in Procurement,



Supply Chain, Business, Commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience within healthcare, hospital or not-for-profit procurement environments.
- Experience with clinical sourcing, value analysis and product standardisation activities.
