- 75 hours per fortnight, maximum term contract to 30 June 2028
- days and hours of work include Tuesday to Friday 10.30am to 6.30pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm
About the role

Specifically, the position is responsible for:
- Lead the Children’s Contact centre in best practice models and aligned service delivery
- Undertake comprehensive and ongoing intakes and assessments, including screening for safety concerns, particularly family violence, and determining suitability for Children’s Contact Service
- Participate in the supervision of children’s visits with their parents and changeovers between parents including intervening when necessary to ensure the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of children is maintained
To be considered for this position, applicants require:
- Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or Community Development or similar related discipline, post graduate qualifications desirable
- Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising a team in human services programs
- Experience in working with separated families and understanding of the best interests of children
- Sound experience in planning, implementing and evaluating services
- Solid understanding of a variety of theoretical frameworks and intervention strategies, including working with children, young people and families and screening and assessment of risk issues including family violence

The successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia, undergo a National Police Check with a satisfactory outcome (and International Police Check if applicable), hold a current Working with Children’s check (employee status) and for some positions a valid drivers licence.
