Business Development Manager - Water Treatment

THE ROLE

WTS have vacancy for a Business Development Manager to join the Queensland team. The role is a permanent full-time position, predominantly working Monday to Friday.The primary focus of this role is to develop opportunities and secure new business for the company using established business networks and follow on opportunities from existing clients.

Reporting to the General Manager, core duties include:

Maintain and develop business networks across a targeted range of industries and sectors to ensure early awareness of new business opportunities

Actively manage all prospective opportunities and maintain an Active Pipeline of Sales Opportunities

Prepare a high-quality level of documentation, budget and full costed proposals to ensure that the Company is professionally represented

Negotiate commercial agreements with clients

Continually developing technical knowledge of the Company’s products and services, as well as a broader understanding of industry and market directions to maintain competitive advantage

Occasional travel may be required

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be willing to learn and grow in an expanding Company, taking on current challenges. You will also:

Have a minimum of 5 years successful sales experience within resource and/or water sectors

Hold a qualification in chemistry, engineering or related discipline (preferrednot essential)





Prior experience working closely with tier-one clients and consultancy companies

Water treatment experience or work with an OEM advantageous

Experience in the development of water treatment programmes applicable to industrial, mining, and municipal sectors

Demonstrated technical acumen to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s products and services that can be communicated to prospective clients

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with customers from operations staff through to the CEO and Board
