Child and Family Practitioner – Family Intervention Service – Rockhampton
Employment Term: Permanent Full-time (38 hours per week)
Location: Rockhampton
Remuneration: From $53.43 per hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for providing services to vulnerable children, young people and families within the Family Intervention Service (FIS) with emphasis on delivery of high quality, best practice service delivery.
- A holistic and therapeutic response to the needs of families and individuals, that are involved in the child protection system.
- Intervention to support the reunification of children and/or young people to their biological family after spending time in out-of-home care placements or working with parents under an Intervention with Parental Agreement case to work towards minimising the child protection worries so they can remain safe in the family home.
- This role is a home-based intervention and includes case management requirements as well as therapeutic intervention skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor Degree) in a relevant human services field with relevant experience in previous roles, and where relevant registration with a nationally recognised professional body is desirable.
- Demonstrated skills and sound knowledge gained through experience working with children and families QLD.
- QLD Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).
- Be able to achieve results through personal proficiency and demonstrate high-quality technical or skilled work.
- Experience in the area of child protection is preferred but not essential.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
