Experienced General Insurance Investigator – Contract Role

NSW, QLD and Victoria | Flexible contractor arrangement

AnalytIQ Solutions Pty Ltd is expanding. We are seeking experienced general insurance investigators in New South Wales, QLD and Victoria to join our approved contractor panel.

This is an opportunity to work with a small, quality-focused investigation practice that values qualified judgment, thorough inquiries and well-prepared reports. You will work directly with the Managing Director with clear instructions, practical support and no unnecessary layers of management.

The role

Assignments may include:

- Motor vehicle theft, fire and suspicious accident claims;
- Residential and commercial burglary and theft claims;
- Fire and arson-related investigations;
- Home and commercial property claims;
- Interviews with insured persons, witnesses and other relevant parties;
- Collection and analysis of documents and supporting evidence;
- Identification of inconsistencies and further lines of inquiry; and
- Preparation of detailed, objective and insurer-ready reports.

The initial arrangement will be assignment-by-assignment based. Work will be offered progressively according to experience, geographic coverage, availability, performance and client requirements. There is genuine potential for regular assignments as referral volumes develop, although no minimum volume can be guaranteed.

About you

You will ideally have:

- At least two years’ recent general insurance investigation experience;
- A current investigator licence in NSW, QLD or Victoria;
- Strong interviewing and statement-taking skills;
- Experience investigating motor vehicle, theft, fire, home or commercial claims;
- Excellent written English and demonstrated report-writing ability;
- Sound judgment, objectivity and attention to evidentiary detail;
- Reliable time recording and file-management practices;
- The capacity to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines;
- An ABN and an appropriate contractor business structure;
- Suitable professional indemnity and public liability insurance;
- Your own vehicle, computer, telephone and secure workspace; and
- A strong commitment to confidentiality, privacy and information security.

We are particularly interested in investigators who conduct complete interviews, establish reliable chronologies, verify relevant evidence and distinguish clearly between facts, allegations and conclusions.
