The role will be involved in keeping key policy documents up to date and will be active in supporting health services through the preparation and assessment for mergers.

Key responsibilities

- The administrative, approval and legal steps are critical to be executed with high accuracy and within the required timeframes and this role will be key in each of these steps.
- Reporting to the Manager Mergers and Partnerships, this is a key role in supporting voluntary mergers of health systems, which are intended to improve the effectiveness of the health system and enable more streamlined access to care for patients.
- The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians.





What you need

- Collaborating with colleagues in teams across the department, you will be involved in the project management, planning for communications and tracking perks which flow from health system voluntary mergers.
- Negotiates with stakeholders and peers with the object of gaining co-operation and meeting timelines for delivery of project, service or advice.
- A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health, health economics/economics, social policy or health administration would be an advantage.
