As a Clinical Governance Advisor, you will play a key role instrengthening clinical governance across Warrigal by workingalongside leaders and care teams to turn clinical insights,evidence and lived experience into practical improvements thatenhance care quality, safety and outcomes.

Working across residential aged care homes and home careservices, you will provide governance expertise and support in theareas of risk management, audit and assurance activities, incidentand complaint review, policy development and continuousimprovement. You will help services identify trends, understandrisks and implement meaningful actions that improve outcomes forresidents and clients.

You will facilitate and contribute to governance discussions,support risk-based audits and reviews, assist with clinical policydevelopment, and provide constructive challenge and guidance whilerespecting the autonomy and accountability of operational leaders.Your ability to build trusted relationships, analyse informationand communicate clearly will enable you to influence improvementand strengthen organisational learning.

This role combines strategic thinking with practical engagement,allowing you to work closely with local teams while contributing toorganisation-wide quality and clinical governance initiatives.Through your expertise, collaboration and commitment to person-ledcare, you will help ensure our services continue to deliver safe,effective and compassionate care.

The requirements | What it takes to do thiswork

- Relevant tertiary qualification in nursing or alliedhealth,



with current professional registration whereapplicable.
- Experience in clinical governance, quality, audit, incidentor complaint review, risk, policy or continuous improvement inaged care or health services.
- Ability to analyse clinical and operational information,identify themes and communicate risk in explicit, practicallanguage.
- Strong relationship, listening, facilitation and writtencommunication skills, including the confidence to providerespectful challenge and the judgement to escalconers.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment andsupport improvement without assuming operationalownership.
- Understanding of aged care rights, quality standards,privacy, clinical governance and person-led care.
- High integrity, discretion, objectivity and attention toevidence and detail.
- Competence with clinical, quality, incident, document andreporting systems.
- Current unrestricted driver licence and willingness totravel.
