About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Perioperative Coordinator to join our growing team in a full-time or flexible part-time capacity.
This is more than just a leadership position — it's an opportunity to lead from the front, support your team and help create an exceptional experience for every patient who comes through our theatres.
Working alongside our highly skilled and experienced perioperative professionals, you'll have the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills in a fast-paced, supportive and collaborative environment.
You'll be a key part of the day-to-day operation of our theatres, helping to keep things running smoothly while supporting our nurses to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
About You
As our Perioperative Coordinator, you will:
Help coordinate theatre workflow, equipment and scheduling to keep our lists running efficiently.
Support staff rostering and workforce planning to ensure we have the right people in the right place.
Promote a robust culture of patient safety, teamwork and accountability.
Lead, mentor and support our nursing team, helping staff develop their skills and confidence,
Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the wider nursing team to deliver seamless, patient‑centred care.
Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that make a genuine difference to our patients and staff.
Ensure compliance with ACORN and NSQHS Standards, legislation and organisational policies.
Help foster a workplace where people feel supported, valued and proud of the work they do.
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated Leadership Experience
Minimum of 3yearspost-graduate perioperative nursing experience
Sound Knowledge of ACORN/ANZCA standards and NSQHS Standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate in a diverse team
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a rapid-paced and challenging environment.
Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
