The University of Newcastle is seeking a Project Manager to lead strategic projects and engagement initiatives within the College of Engineering, Science and Environment.

Reporting to the College General Manager, you will provide expert project management, business improvement and stakeholder engagement leadership to support the delivery of the College's strategic priorities. Leading a small team of project and engagement professionals, you will oversee multiple projects, coordinate diverse stakeholders, manage resources and budgets, and ensure initiatives are delivered successfully and on schedule.

In this role you will:

- Lead and deliver strategic projects aligned with College priorities and objectives.
- Manage, mentor and develop a small team of qualified staff.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the University and externally.
- Develop project plans, monitor progress and manage project risks and resources.
- Drive business improvement initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and service delivery.
- Lead engagement activities and programs involving students, staff, industry and community partners.
- Provide strategic advice, insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

This is a full-time,



12-month fixed-term position and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

The University’s College of Engineering, Science and Environment (CESE) brings together expertise in engineering, environment, and the sciences to deliver life ready graduates and transformative solutions to our region and world. CESE strives for excellence, innovation and equity in teaching, education, research and partnerships. The College offers a diverse array of programs across the key areas of architecture, construction, engineering, information technology, cyber security, disaster risk and resilience, data science, science, mathematics, psychology, environmental science, food and nutrition, and development studies.

The remuneration for this position is Higher Education Worker Level 7 ($107,268-$120,677) +17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
