In this role you will be responsible for: Apply Australian National Botanic Gardens WHS policies.
Key responsibilities
- The Director of National Parks (the Director) is responsible for six national parks, the Australian National Botanic Gardens, 58 Australian Marine Parks and the Heard Island and McDonald Islands Marine Reserve established under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
- We directly contribute to protected-guarding Australia's plant species from extinctions and are responsible for leading, building and sharing knowledge of our Australian flora.
Specific duties for the Living Collections & Assets team
In this role you will be responsible for: Taking on additional responsibilities related to the Living Collections in accordance with ANBG horticultural practices and procedures, for example tracking and conserving threatened species, tree works, irrigation, lawn maintenance and any other living collection management functions.
