A key focus of the role is strategic integration and knowledge sharing.
Key responsibilities
- Leading a team of engineers and specialists, and operating under delegated technical authority, you'll apply a corridor-wide engineering lens to ensure assets interact safely, reliably and sustainably across modes.
- You'll provide authoritative guidance on the development, maintenance and application of standards and specifications, ensuring that asset interactions, operational performance and lifecycle outcomes are optimised.
- You'll represent Transport for NSW in cross-modal forums and contribute to harmonisation initiatives that strengthen technical governance and capability across the network.
- You'll champion a corridor-wide mindset that brings together hydrology, drainage, pavements and associated infrastructure to inform evidence-based decision-making, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
What you need
- You bring extensive experience in corridor infrastructure or comparable multi-modal transport environments, with a proven ability to provide strategic oversight across interacting asset classes such as roads, rail, drainage and pavement systems.
- You have experience developing professional standards, specifications, guidelines or governance frameworks, and a solid record in applying technical knowledge in an integrated, lifecycle outcomes-focused manner that optimise safety, reliability and cost outcomes.
- You hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant technical discipline, engineering registration, and experience leading technical teams.
