Mcconnell Dowell

Perth

We're looking for an experienced Recruitment Advisor to join our Australian Recruitment team, supporting hiring activity across our Australian Business Unit. Based in our modern Perth CBD office on Adelaide Terrace, you'll enjoy spectacular Swan River views, easy access to public transport, nearby cafes and amenities, and flexible working arrangements that support work-life balance.

Why this role stands out

- Join a small, high-performing recruitment team with the backing and stability of a large organisation.
- Influence continuous improvement initiatives with minimal red tape and the freedom to implement new ideas.
- Enjoy genuine flexibility and autonomy in how you manage your work.
- Build long-term talent pipelines and relationships rather than focusing on short-term placements.
- Internal recruitment means you'll see the impact of your hiring decisions and help build teams that deliver major projects from start to finish.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Recruitment Lead, you'll play a key role in attracting and securing talent across our Australian operations. Working closely with project and business leaders, you'll provide strategic recruitment support while delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

- Build and maintain talent pipelines across engineering, construction and project delivery disciplines.
- Source and engage active and passive candidates through targeted search and attraction strategies.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking and offer management.

- Provide expert recruitment advice and support to hiring managers while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, talent programs and broader people projects.

About You

You'll be an experienced recruiter who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and influencing outcomes.

We're interested in people who bring:

- Previous recruitment experience, ideally within construction, engineering, infrastructure, resources or a related industry.
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes and engaging with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong sourcing and talent attraction capability, including proactive candidate engagement.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team setting.

Experience in an internal recruitment environment will be highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from agency recruiters looking to transition into an in-house role where they can have a deeper impact on business outcomes.
