Nextgen Early Learning Centre is seeking Certificate 3 Qualified Educators to join our dedicated team in Picton, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to children in our community. As a Qualified Educator, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and develop to their full potential. Your work will directly contribute to the educational outcomes and wellbeing of the young learners in our care.
What you'll be doing
Implementing curriculum-based activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in accordance with the Australian Curriculum framework and service policies
Planning and delivering educational experiences tailored to the individual needs, interests and developmental stages of children in your care
Observing and assessing children's progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating observations with families and team members
Providing safe, nurturing care for children including supervision during play, mealtimes and rest periods
Collaborating with other educators and team members to ensure consistency in care practices and a positive learning environment
Building strong relationships with children and families, fostering open communication and encouraging parental involvement
Maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe environment in accordance with health, safety and hygiene standards
Supporting children's social and emotional development, managing behaviour constructively and promoting positive interactions
Participating in career development opportunities and staying current with early childhood education best practices
Adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations and service policies including child protection and privacy requirements
What we’re looking for
Current or relevant Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification
Current or ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWC) or equivalent clearance prior to commencement
Current or ability to obtain a Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025 - Identify and respond to children at risk of harm) prior to commencement
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within the first month of employment)
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards
Demonstrated experience working with children in an early childhood education setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences
Sound knowledge of child health, safety,
wellbeing and protection requirements
Flexibility, patience and genuine passion for working with young children
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
