This role involves providing transport for young people to attend and participate in community service.
Key responsibilities
- As such a full driver's licence and employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) are mandatory for this role.
- Support day-to-day statutory supervision and case management of young people with complex needs.
- Undertake site inspections and manual handling assessments, complete reports on first aid, OHS and other incidents to ensure service environments are safe.
- Build relationships with community groups and identify opportunities for community service placements.
What you need
- Case management experience in a related field and an ability to tailor your work with young people based on their age, gender, cultural background and other individual needs.
- An understanding of Victoria's Youth Justice System, particularly the principals and underpinning relevant legislation.
- Positive interpersonal skills, ability to problem solve complex issues and strong written and verbal communication skills.
