Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Support workshops, interviews and stakeholder discussions by preparing materials, capturing notes, and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Assist with gathering, analysing and documenting business needs, data requirements, process flows and solution options under the guidance of senior project team members.
- Prepare transparent and consistent draft business and technical documentation, including requirements registers, process maps, data mapping notes, reporting requirements and configuration support material.
- Assist in documenting business and functional requirements relating to information management, reporting, datamigration, system integration and configuration activities.
- Support walkthroughs and review sessions by recording feedback, updating documentation, and tracking follow-up actions through to closure.
- Work with project stakeholders, technical staff and vendors to clarify requirements, confirm assumptions, and escalating issues or dependencies as required.
- Support solution architects, technical leads, developers and vendors by maintaining accurate requirements, decisions, actions and dependency records.
- Assist with analysis of source systems, reference data and system information to support data mapping, codification, configuration and testing activities.
- Contribute to development, process, integration and testing activities by maintaining documentation, supporting issue investigation and helping prepare test evidence.
- Work with the testing team to support validation activities and confirm that documented requirements are reflected in test scenarios and outcomes.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated ability to support business analysis activities, including requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder engagement and action tracking.
- Sound analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to organise information clearly for review by project teams and stakeholders.
- Exposure to ICT projects, systems implementation, system replacement or digital transformation environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project team members, technical staff, subject matter experts, vendors and business stakeholders.
- Ability to support liaison between internal teams and vendor representatives, including documenting decisions, dependencies, risks and follow-up actions.
- Basic understanding of data, reporting, interfaces, system configuration and interactions between business processes and ICT systems.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, document impacts, seek clarification and escalated matters appropriately.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and the ability to learn project, requirements, testing and collaboration tools quickly.
- Ability to provide business analysis and system support during design, build, test, implementation and transition to business-as-usual activities.
