About this Opportunity
Loreto College Coorparoo is seeking a skilled and service-focused Technical Support Officer – Helpdesk and Audio Visual (Level 2) to join our Technical Support and Services team.
Reporting to the Head of Technology: Strategy and Operation, this role provides Level 1 and Level 2 technical support across the College's ICT and audio-visual workplace. You will work closely with staff, students,
contractors, and technology vendors to ensure the reliable operation of classroom technology, end-user devices, business systems, and provide professional AV support for event spaces.
This is a varied and hands-on role suited to a proactive technology professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting users, and contributing to a high-performing team within a dynamic educational environment.
As the Technical Support Officer – Helpdesk and Audio Visual (L2), you will:
- Provide responsive Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to staff, students, and guests.
- Act as an escalation point for Level 1 Helpdesk Officers.
- Support and maintain classroom technology, meeting spaces, public address systems, and other audio-visual infrastructure.
- Deliver technical and AV support for College events, assemblies, meetings, and presentations.
- Troubleshoot and support Windows devices, Microsoft 365 services, Intune, Active Directory, networking services, and related systems.
- Assist with asset management, service desk documentation, and knowledge base development.
- Perform preventative maintenance, software updates, firmware upgrades, and system audits.
- Collaborate with Systems Administrators and other technology team members to enhance College ICT services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process development, and service excellence.
This is a full-time permanent position Monday - Friday,
working 7.6 hours per day between 7:00am and 6:00pm (including a 30-minute unpaid meal break), with a typical work pattern being 8:00am to 4:06pm. Occasional after-hours and weekend work will be required to support College events and operational requirements.
This position is remunerated within the School Officers structure under the Catholic Employing Authorities Single Enterprise Collective Agreement – Religious Institute Schools of Queensland and will commence in September 2026, or as negotiated for the right applicant.

About you
The successful applicant will have solid technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
You will ideally possess:
- A minimum of three years' experience in a technical support, service desk, or audio-visual support role.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, and related technologies.
- Experience supporting audio-visual systems and event technologies.
- Experience operating sound/mixing desks, microphones, lighting and production equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach to technology support.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing competing priorities.
- A current Queensland Paid Employee Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working in a school or education environment will be highly regarded.
