Workshop City is a licensed motor vehicle repair business (MRB11638) operating from Welshpool. We service and repair all makes and models, from Toyota and Ford through to European vehicles, and we also run a mobile service for customers who cannot get to the workshop.

We are looking for a qualified motor mechanic to join the team on a full time, ongoing basis.

What you will be doing

- Logbook and standard servicing across passenger vehicles, 4WDs and light commercials
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using workshop scan tools and test equipment
- Brake, clutch, suspension and steering repairs and replacements
- Cooling system work, head gasket repairs and engine replacements
- Transmission servicing and repairs
- Tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignments
- Registration and pre-pits inspections
- Fitting 4WD accessories such as lift kits, bull bars and driving lights
- Road testing vehicles before and after repair, and confirming the fault is fixed
- Quoting jobs,



ordering parts and explaining the work to customers in plain language
- Attending mobile call-outs when required
- Keeping accurate job cards and service records, and working to workshop safety procedures

What we are after

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or an equivalent overseas trade qualification
- At least one years of experience in a workshop workplace
- Confident with diagnostic scan tools and electronic fault finding
- Able to work across a range of makes and models rather than one brand
- Eligible to be a certified tradesperson under the WA Motor Vehicle Repairers Act
- Unrestricted right to work in Australia
