About the Role

Aspect Health is seeking an organised, proactive and highly accurate Stock Controller to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations , you will be responsible for maintaining the stock levels required to support our pharmacies and medication packing hub. You will coordinate purchasing, receiving, stocktaking, pricing and stock management across multiple sites while ensuring stock is available to meet operational and production requirements.

This is a varied role combining pharmaceutical stock control, purchasing, retail support, supplier liaison and continuous improvement. Your work will directly support our pharmacy teams and help ensure medications and essential products are available when our aged care customers need them.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing and Supplier Coordination

- Coordinate monthly bulk orders across Aspect Health sites

- Receive and reconcile monthly orders

- Process invoicing as required

- Review order quantities quarterly and adjust them according to business needs

- Liaise with pharmaceutical representatives and suppliers

- Conduct pricing reviews and upload pricing information into Fred

- Support purchasing decisions, preferred-brand arrangements and budget requirements

- Assist the Head of Financial Operations and Managing Director with additional purchasing and improvement initiatives

Stock Control

- Receive, check and accurately record incoming goods

- Maintain accurate physical and system stock levels

- Ensure timely and accurate replenishment across the pharmacies and packing hub

- Complete monthly stocktakes and provide relevant reports

- Maintain stock records within inventory systems

- Conduct regular stocktakes of consumables

- Manage short-dated, expired, excess, slow-moving and dead stock

- Investigate stock discrepancies or non-compliant purchasing, implement corrective action

- Help ensure production schedules are supported by appropriate stock availability

Retail Support

- Support retail merchandising and product presentation

- Assist with retail category ranging and pricing

- Monitor compliance with banner-group requirements

- Provide retail purchasing support across pharmacy sites

Customer Service and Continuous Improvement

- Work closely with pharmacy management, stock representatives and other departments

- Deliver professional and friendly service to internal and external customers





- Identify opportunities to improve stock-control processes and reduce wastage

- Document and refine stock processes and workflows

- Provide regular progress reports to the Head of Financial Operations

- Promptly address, resolve and report stock-related challenges

- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

- At least two years’ experience as a Stock Controller, Storeperson or in a similar inventory-focused role

- Pharmacy, pharmaceutical, healthcare or allied-industry experience, which would be highly regarded

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to inventory accuracy

- Excellent organisation, planning and time-management skills

- Experience using inventory or warehouse-management software

- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office

- A solutions-focused approach with strong initiative and drive

- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

- A strong customer-service focus

- A valid Australian driver’s licence

- Alignment with Aspect Health’s vision, mission and values

Experience using Pharmacy Systems and an understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice principles and standards will be highly regarded.

You must also be willing to follow all Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, gowning standards and dress requirements when entering controlled production areas.

A National Police Certificate will be required in accordance with company policy.
