SALARY $80K TO $82K P.A. Position Summary The Carpenter is
responsible for the installation, construction, modification,
maintenance and repair of building structures and architectural
façade systems on commercial and residential construction projects.
The role supports Envelop's specialised services in façade
remediation, cladding installation, roofing systems, architectural
wall cladding, building maintenance and construction projects. The
Carpenter will work both independently and as part of a site-based
team, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in
accordance with project specifications, Australian Standards and
workplace health and safety requirements. Key Duties and
Responsibilities Interpret construction drawings, specifications
and project plans to determine material requirements and
installation methods. Measure, mark and prepare materials for
construction and installation activities. Construct, install and
modify timber and lightweight steel framing systems, support
structures and architectural cladding substrates. Install façade
components, cladding systems, architectural panels, flashings,
external wall systems and associated building elements. Carry out
fitting, assembly and installation of prefabricated construction
and façade components. Perform structural adjustments and
modifications to ensure correct alignment and installation of
building materials and façade systems. Operate and maintain hand
tools, power tools, cutting equipment and construction machinery
safely and effectively. Install and repair roofing, wall cladding
and external building envelope components in accordance with
project requirements.



Assist with façade remediation, refurbishment
and maintenance works on existing buildings. Conduct site
measurements, inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance
with project specifications. Work safely at heights using elevated
work platforms, scaffolding and fall protection systems. Coordinate
with supervisors, project managers, tradespersons and
subcontractors to achieve project objectives and deadlines.
Identify construction issues and recommend practical solutions to
maintain productivity and quality standards. Maintain a clean and
secure work environment and ensure compliance with Workplace Health
and Safety legislation, company policies and site procedures.
Assist with loading, unloading and handling of construction
materials and equipment. Complete required documentation including
site reports, safety records and installation checklists. Skills
and Experience Required Demonstrated experience in carpentry,
joinery, construction installation or related building trades.
Experience using hand tools, power tools and construction
equipment. Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and
specifications. Experience with construction, installation, fitting
and assembly of building components. Knowledge of workplace health
and safety requirements within the construction industry. Ability
to work at heights and in active construction environments. Strong
attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good
communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently
and meet project deadlines. Licences and Certifications White Card.
Current Driver's Licence. Working at Heights certification
(preferred). Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence (preferred).
Other construction-related licences and certifications
advantageous. ANNUAL SALARY $80K TO $82K P.A.
