We are seeking an experienced Groundskeeper / Landscaping Horticulture professional to join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining the grounds of a cemetery environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for maintaining designated grounds and landscaped areas to a high standard, including:
- Regular mowing, gardening, watering and general grounds maintenance
- Fertilising gardens and lawns and applying fertiliser correctly
- Trimming and pruning hedges, plants and trees
- Installing turf and completing appropriate after-care
- Identifying plants, pests and diseases, undertaking routine weed-spraying applications
- Conducting chemical spraying in accordance with training, instructions and safety procedures
- Safely operating and maintaining a wide range of plant, equipment, machinery and hand tools
- Keeping gardens, lawns and surrounding graves clean, and well presented
- Located near Lidcombe area, Temp to Permanent position
About You
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the protected operation and maintenance of plant, equipment, machinery and tools
- Experience with chemical spraying, with relevant training or a willingness to work towards a formal chemical-handling qualification
- The ability to work effectively autonomously and as part of a team
- A current NSW Driver Licence and Own Car
- Working towards, or willingness to attain, a Certificate III in Horticulture or a related field such as Parks and Gardens, Turf Management or Landscaping
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Citizen
- Must be able to Pass a Medical and Police Check
