As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will work closely alongside the existing Early Childhood Teacher and educators to deliver a high-quality Kindergarten program that supports children in their final year before school. You will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas, strengths and teaching style while working collaboratively to create engaging learning experiences and a positive, inclusive environment for children.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the existing ECT to plan and deliver an engaging Kindergarten program
- Support children's learning, development and school readiness
- Develop meaningful learning experiences based on children's interests, strengths and individual needs
- Build strong, positive relationships with children and families
- Complete observations, documentation and assessment of children's learning
- Contribute to transition-to-school planning and statements
- Support inclusive practices and individual learning goals
- Work closely with educators within the Kindergarten team
- Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement
- Maintain solid knowledge of the EYLF,
Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and National Quality Framework
About you
- Holds an approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification or ACECQA approved qualification
- Has a genuine passion for working with children aged 4–5 years
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a teaching team
- Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Is confident in programming, documentation and reflective practice
- Understands the importance of school readiness while maintaining a play-based approach to learning
- Is reliable, adaptable and willing to contribute to the wider service
- Values strong partnerships with families
