The Opportunity

This position offers a contemporary, hybrid Early Childhood Teacher role that blends in-room teaching practice with broader professional contribution to the day-to-day operations of the service.

You will work flexibly across the centre — spending time directly with children and educators in learning environments, while also contributing in an office-based capacity to support pedagogy, mentoring, reflective practice and selected administrative functions alongside the Nominated Supervisor.

This is a highly collaborative role suited to an educator who is comfortable moving between environments and priorities,



responding to the needs of the day and supporting the team wherever required. At times, this may involve curriculum planning, professional dialogue or documentation support; at others, it may mean stepping into rooms, engaging with children, assisting educators, or supporting the practical flow of the centre.

The role has been designed for a qualified who values shared responsibility, understands that quality outcomes are built through teamwork, and takes pride in contributing at every level of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead high-quality curriculum planning aligned with the EYLF v2.0 and QKLG
- Model best practice in programming, documentation and assessment
- Support and mentor educators through reflective discussions and shared practice
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives across the service
- Support consistent approaches to pedagogy, routines and learning environments
- Build strong partnerships with families and the wider community

About You

- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- Strong understanding of the NQS, EYLF, QKLG and assessment & rating processes
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, guide and inspire other educators
- Excellent communication and collaborative leadership skills
- Passion for quality improvement and professional growth
- A team first mentality and desire to be flexible, hands‑on and responsive to the needs of the service and team.
