Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Project Controls Coordinator will take hands-on ownership of commercial project cost controls and project rhythms.

This role is centered on real-world consultancy commerciality: tracking budget against forecast, driving weekly WIP cycles, and tying project progress directly to client invoicing, progress claims, and project margin.

For the right candidate, this position offers a structured, milestone-gated development pathway directly toward a Junior PMO role.

Key Responsibilities

- Commercial Cost Control & Forecasting: Track budgets, commitments, actuals, and Estimate at Completion (EAC) to provide accurate budget-vs-forecast and margin analysis.
- WIP & Billing Cycles: Lead the weekly Work in Progress (WIP) cycle, ensuring labor hours, project milestones, and variations tie cleanly into monthly client invoicing and progress claims.
- Cost System Integrity: Own project cost sheets in Primavera Unifier as the single source of truth, auditing timesheet submissions and accounts payable data flows.
- Change & Variations: Manage scope variations and change notices from initial pricing through client approval and baseline adjustment.
- Integrated Scheduling: Maintain, update, and baseline supporting project schedules in Primavera P6,



ensuring cost and timeline tracking remain aligned.
- Commercial Reporting: Prepare actionable project performance, cash tracking, WIP, and forecast reporting using Unifier and Power BI.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and day-to-day coordination for the Project Administrator.

Skills & Experience Required

- Commercial Project Experience: Proven background in project controls, project accounting, or commercial project administration—ideally within an engineering consultancy or professional services environment.
- Financial & Commercial Acumen: Direct experience managing weekly WIP cycles, progress claims, client invoicing, timesheet chasing, and budget-vs-forecast margin tracking.
- Systems Familiarity: Experience using Primavera Unifier and/or Primavera P6 is highly regarded (or robust aptitude across enterprise ERP/cost systems such as Deltek, Jobpac, or similar).
- Attention to Detail & Cadence: Strong follow-through to enforce project governance, maintain data integrity, and run tight weekly commercial rhythms.
- Communication: Confident communication skills to collaborate with Project Managers, technical engineers, and executive leadership.
