We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant - Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Gwynne Park Primary School (PS) is looking for applicants who differentiates their practice for the needs of individual students - particularly for students who require additional support. Community connection and support for families is a critical part of Gwynne Park PS ethos.

The Role
As Mainstream Education Assistants, you will assist in the delivery of planned education programs that will help in the development of young minds. In this role you will ideally collaborate and work in a team environment. Education Assistants will ideally possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well‑being of students. You will ideally be organised and be able to use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning setting.
Working under teacher direction in a diverse role,
you would also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority. Managing student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programs is an important aspect of this role.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
