Property & Development Project Manager – National Health Portfolio
Brisbane | Sydney | Melbourne | Full-Time
The Opportunity
Our client is a global healthcare property owner and operator.
An opportunity now exists for an experienced Property & Development Project Manager to join the team and take ownership of a diverse pipeline of property development, refurbishment and construction projects across Australia.
This is a client-side project management role with end-to-end responsibility across feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
The Role
You will manage a portfolio of healthcare fit-outs, refurbishments, equipment replacement projects and broader capital works, working closely with operational, clinical, property and corporate stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead multiple concurrent projects from feasibility and site investigation through to completion and handover.
- Develop project briefs, budgets, programmes, procurement strategies, governance frameworks and risk plans.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, specialist suppliers and equipment vendors.
- Manage design development, tendering, contractor procurement, contract administration, variations and cost control.
- Act as the client's lead representative throughout construction, ensuring delivery to scope, budget, programme and quality requirements.
- Coordinate technically complex works including building services, structural modifications, HVAC, electrical upgrades and specialist installations.
- Support property acquisitions and development opportunities through technical due diligence, site feasibility and landlord/developer negotiations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, landlords, developers, builders and professional consultants.
About You
We are seeking a construction or property professional with:
- Circa seven to ten + years' project management experience, ideally across commercial fit-out, healthcare, technically complex or operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects end-to-end from feasibility through construction and handover.
- Solid knowledge of construction, design coordination, procurement, tendering, contracts, cost management and project controls.
- Commercially astute with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Practical understanding of building services including electrical, mechanical/HVAC, hydraulic, structural and communications infrastructure.
- Experience managing multiple projects across geographically dispersed sites.
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Property, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
