About the role

As part of a high-performing legal team, you will work at the centre of major infrastructure projects and broader commercial strategy.

This is not a traditional legal advisory role. You will work closely with commercial, finance, development and project teams throughout the lifecycle of significant infrastructure projects, providing practical legal and commercial advice on complex transactions and project arrangements.

You will:

- Advise on the legal and commercial frameworks supporting major infrastructure projects, including PPPs and other government-backed projects.
- Support the development, financing and delivery of significant infrastructure opportunities.
- Work closely with internal commercial, finance, development and project teams, as well as external advisers and project stakeholders.
- Advise on project and construction documentation, including project deeds, development arrangements, delivery agreements and other major contracts.
- Assist with the identification,



negotiation and allocation of legal and commercial risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide strategic advice on contractual, corporate, governance and regulatory matters affecting projects and the broader business.
- Support ongoing compliance with contractual obligations and applicable governance and sustainability requirements.

About you

This role will suit an experienced projects, infrastructure or construction lawyer who is looking to move in-house, or an existing in-house lawyer seeking greater exposure to major projects and commercial decision-making.

You will ideally possess:

- 8+ years' PQE.
- Experience across infrastructure, major projects, PPPs, project finance and/or construction.
- Strong experience reviewing and negotiating complex project and commercial agreements.
- An understanding of project delivery models and the allocation of risk across major infrastructure projects.
- The ability to look beyond the legal position and understand the broader commercial drivers of a project.
- Superior communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused and pragmatic approach.
