$42.15 - $59.04 p/hr (dependent on experience) + Super + Salary packaging benefits + Kilometre Reimbursement + 5 weeks annual leave (Pro-rata)

Blue Care is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our highly skilled Statewide Allied Health Team, supporting the Bundaberg, Maryborough and Hervey Bay regions.
Your part in our BlueCare team
You’ll provide individualised, person-centred speech therapy to our elderly clients living in our communities.
You’ll actively incorporate contemporary theory and practice into therapy that promotes the independence and wellbeing of our elderly clients.
This will include:
- Proactively screen and assess clients to formulate and maintain up to date individualised care plans
- Maintaining open and fluid communication within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Referring clients to appropriate health care professionals when necessary
- Liaising compassionately with our clients and their families
This role is based in Bundaberg/Hervey Bay/Maryborough. If working full time, some travel between sites (approximately one to two days per fortnight) is required. Travel is planned in advance and supported by the team.

You’ll have:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Speech Pathology - Essential
- Experience as a Speech Pathologist/Therapist, preferably in the aged care. Graduates are encouraged to apply
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
- Clear understanding and experience with contemporary speech pathology theories and practices
- Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance - Essential
- Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
