The role will review, progress, and oversee all NSLHD Aboriginal Health Impact Statements through to endorsement by the Executive Director, Aboriginal Health and Workforce, ensuring compliance with organisational requirements and culturally appropriate practice.

Key responsibilities

- This position will be responsible for leading collaboration and project management activities for initiatives within the NSLHD Aboriginal Health Service, ensuring effective coordination, implementation, and reporting as directed by the Executive Director, Aboriginal Health and Workforce.
- The Deputy Director is responsible for embedding culturally secure practices across NSLHD by working collaboratively with directorates, programs and facility leadership teams to strengthen organisational capability and accountability for Aboriginal Health priorities.




- The role leads the delivery of NSLHD Aboriginal Health District orientation programs, including orientation for Junior Medical Officers, to ensure a culturally informed and responsive workforce.
- Lead Aboriginal health excellence across Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD).

What you need

- This is an identified Aboriginal position; applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent through proof of Aboriginality.
- Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field and/or equivalent experience working in health management roles.
