The centre focuses on creating engaging learning experiences that support children's development, wellbeing and confidence. The team works closely with children and families to promote positive learning outcomes and support children's preparation for school.

Role Summary
The Child Care Worker will provide care and supervision to children and assist with their daily routines, recreational activities and social development. The role involves preparing activities and materials, supervising children, supporting hygiene routines and encouraging positive behaviour in a safe and caring environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Set up learning materials, toys, equipment and other resources required for children's daily activities and play sessions.
- Support children in developing positive social behaviours by encouraging sharing, cooperation, communication and respectful interactions.
- Organise and participate in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities that encourage children's engagement and development.
- Engage children through stories, music, creative play, games and other suitable recreational activities.




- Monitor children during play and recreational sessions to maintain appropriate supervision and respond to their needs.
- Assist children with their daily schedules, including meals, rest periods, transitions and other routine activities.
- Support children with personal care and hygiene practices while maintaining appropriate cleanliness and wellbeing standards.
- Provide day-to-day care and supervision in the early learning workplace and report any concerns regarding children's wellbeing or behaviour to the appropriate staff.

Qualifications and Experience

- AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in an appropriate childcare related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in child care or a similar early childhood care role
- Understanding of children's care, development, behaviour and daily routines.
- Good communication, teamwork and child-focused interpersonal skills.
