About the Role

The are seeking to employ a Research Fellow, for a fixed-term period to provide high-level research support to the Evaluation of Project Adarvan; and may also contribute to additional ageing or primary care research projects.

In particular, the successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):

- Coordinating the design, implementation and day-to-day delivery of the qualitative component of the Evaluation of Project Adarvan, in collaboration with the project investigators and partner organisations.

- Developing and maintain research protocols, ethics and governance applications, data-access applications, study documentation and required reports for Project Adarvan and, where appropriate, other ageing and primary care research projects.

- Coordinating and undertake participant recruitment and qualitative data collection across participating hospital emergency departments, residential aged care homes, general practices and other primary care settings, in accordance with approved protocols.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers, healthcare professionals, participating services, industry partners and other key stakeholders to support project delivery, research translation and impact.

- Undertake data analysis, synthesis and report writing.

Detailed Description

About You

To be successful in the role, you will need to have:

- A PhD in Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Health related field.

- Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and/or mixed-methods research, including study design, participant recruitment, data collection, analysis, interpretation and synthesis.

- Proven ability to coordinate complex, multi-site research across disciplinary, organisational and geographic boundaries.

- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, risks, milestones and deadlines.

- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with consumers, healthcare professionals, service providers, researchers and project partners.

- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a demonstrated capacity to produce high-quality publications, reports, presentations and research-translation outputs.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and contribute effectively to multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary research teams.

Remuneration/Salary

Base Salary Range: $130,297 to $154,215 per annum (Academic Level B)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.

The position is full time and appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis for a period of up to 10 months. A hybrid work arrangement is available which comprises of working predominantly onsite at the UTS Broadway Sydney campus with some remote working and interstate travel.
