About the role
Our Transport Infrastructure team in Perth is seeking an experienced Team Leader / Principal Civil Engineer – Roads & Highways to join us on a permanent basis.
This is a leadership role combining technical excellence, people leadership, and client-facing delivery. You will lead the delivery of major and complex road and highway projects, provide direction and mentoring to a high-performing team, and work closely with Business and Group Leaders to support growth across WA’s transport sector.
You will maintain a strong hands-on technical presence while taking responsibility for team leadership, project delivery oversight, client relationships, and business development support. You will be supported to build a rewarding long-term career within a collaborative, values-driven global consultancy.
Day to day tasks would involve:
- Leading and delivering civil design for roads, highways and transport infrastructure projects from concept through to construction
- Acting as Project Manager and/or Project Technical Leader on complex projects, ensuring quality, budget and program outcomes
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and designers
- Managing and developing client relationships, including negotiating scope changes and supporting proposals
- Supporting Business and Group Leaders with team utilisation, resourcing, performance and growth initiatives
- Leading and mentoring a team of civil engineers and designers across Roads & Highways projects
- Supporting business development activities, bids and proposals to secure future work
To be successful for this role you'll need:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- Significant experience delivering roads and highways projects in a consulting environment
- Demonstrated capability in leading teams and mentoring engineers
- Strong client-facing skills with experience supporting proposals and project delivery
- Progress toward or achievement of CPEng
