Its projects are typically secured through repeat clients, negotiated opportunities and established relationships with designers, consultants and project managers.

Projects range from premium office fitouts and hospitality venues through to complex refurbishments and multi-site rollouts, generally valued between $2m and $20m.

The business has dedicated estimating and preconstruction capability, experienced Site Managers and commercial support—allowing its Project Managers to focus on properly leading projects rather than doing five jobs badly.

About the Role
You will take responsibility for one major project or a small portfolio of appropriately sized projects, depending on complexity.

Working from preconstruction handover through to completion, you will lead the client relationship and coordinate the commercial, design and site-delivery functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing scope, buildability, programme and commercial risk before commencement
- Establishing procurement strategies and letting subcontract packages
- Leading design coordination and resolving documentation issues
- Managing clients, consultants, designers and external project managers




- Working closely with the Site Manager to drive programme, quality and safety
- Overseeing forecasting, variations, claims and project reporting
- Maintaining control of project margin and commercial outcomes
- Managing commissioning, handover and final account

About you

This role will suit an established Project Manager who has delivered commercial fitout or refurbishment projects for a head contractor.

You will ideally bring:

- Experience delivering fitout projects valued above $5m
- Exposure to workplace, hospitality, retail or similarly detailed interiors
- Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing project financials
- The ability to manage design development and consultant coordination
- A polished but practical approach with clients and subcontractors
- Experience taking projects from award through to final completion
- A construction management, building or related qualification

You do not need to come from a huge Tier 1 workplace. You do need to understand fitout, take ownership and be credible in front of demanding clients.
