About Our Client
Our client is a leading global Defence, aerospace and security organisation delivering advanced naval capability at Osborne Naval Shipyard in South Australia.
What You Will Be Doing
Join the shipbuilding production team, completing MIG and Flux Core welding, fabrication and structural work on advanced naval vessels.
- MIG and Flux Core welding and fabrication
- Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
- Completing production tasks as directed by Production Supervisors and Trade Trainers
- Participating in relevant on-the-job training and development
- Maintaining tools, equipment and materials to a high standard
- Working collaboratively with other trades and production personnel
- Contributing to continuous improvement across the work area
- Following all site policies, procedures and safety requirements
Shift Structure (subject to slight changes)
Day shift 6.30am 3.30pm $51.92 p/h
Afternoon shift 4pm 12.30am $67.49 p/h
Night Shift 11pm 7.30am $67.49 p/h
What You Will Need
- Australian-recognised Boilermaker/Fabrication trade qualification
- White Card
- Previous fabrication experience
- Experience with MIG and/or Flux Core welding
- Ability to confidently read and interpret drawings
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to pass a Police Check
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work within a structured production environment
- Must be Australian Citizen
