Working closely with our experienced SMSF administration team, you will support the delivery of SMSF administration services.
Key responsibilities
- Processing and reconciling bank and investment transactions
- Reviewing financial information and identifying missing or unusual transactions
- Preparing accurate workpapers and supporting documentation
- Maintaining client records and electronic files
- Following up outstanding information with clients and third parties
- Managing allocated work and meeting agreed deadlines
- Assisting with the preparation of SMSF accounts and annual compliance work
- Communicating clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Contributing to the continued improvement of internal processes
About you
- A minimum of two years' practical bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accounting practice or skilled services environment
- Strong transaction-processing and reconciliation skills
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work
- A willingness to ask questions, accept feedback and continue developing your skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confidence using cloud-based systems and learning new technology
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable, professional and proactive approach
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team
