About the role
This is a predominantly office-based supervisory position with regular field involvement, suited to an experienced residential electrician or supervisor who wants to use their practical knowledge in a broader role. You will work across office and field functions, helping identify potential issues before works reach site, supporting installation planning, resolving technical problems and providing guidance to electricians and apprentices. Working closely with the Electrical Trades Coordinator and Electrical Field Supervisor, you'll play an key part in ensuring residential electrical works are properly planned, technically supported and delivered to a consistent standard.
Key responsibilities
- Review upcoming residential electrical works and identify technical or installation requirements before works commence
- Provide technical guidance and support to electricians, apprentices and office staff
- Work with the Electrical Trades Coordinator to identify job complexity, installation requirements and appropriate crew capability
- Work alongside the Electrical Field Supervisor to support installation quality and resolve field issues
- Review complex, unusual or higher-risk jobs before installation
- Troubleshoot electrical and installation issues and determine practical solutions
- Attend sites for technical assessments, inspections and issue resolution when required
- Monitor installation quality, workmanship and recurring defects
- Support electrical testing, certification and regulatory compliance notifications
- Identify recurring issues and help improve how jobs are prepared and delivered
About you
- Current WA Electrical Worker's Licence
- Current Construction White Card
- Strong residential electrical experience
- Experience within project or volume residential construction will be highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 and applicable electrical requirements
- Experience supervising, mentoring or providing technical guidance to electricians and apprentices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and builder documentation
- Good understanding of electrical testing and certification requirements
- Strong communication skills across both office and field environments
