Established over 12 years ago, Person Centred Psychology & Allied Health was born out of a desire to have a clinic where all people received the highest quality of care. We believe that when we all care for each other as a team, we are supported and energised to provide the highest quality of psychological assessment and intervention to our clients. We provide psychological and dietetic services to a range of adult and adolescent clients, and have clinicians who work with those experiencing a diverse range of mental health and emotional difficulties. Within our team sits and eating disorder team which is complemented by two passionate dietitian's.
About the role
Independent contractor role two to four days a week in clinic. First two shifts required as afternoon (2 pm – 8 pm) or Saturday (Flexible hours) shifts. Our coveted Friday 9 – 5 shift has one room available for a clinician working a third or fourth day. Employee opportunities available after 12 months.
What is expected of me?
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for your role and have a strong commitment to best practice.
- Provide high quality, evidence informed psychological assessment and interventions
- Manage a clinical caseload and actively engage with GP's and others supporting your clients
- Reflective and reflexive practice
- Collaborate with admin to provide exceptional customer service
- Where relevant, actively participate in fortnightly eating disorder peer supervision, monthly psychology peer supervision and quarterly PD days
- Actively contribute to a strong team culture and supportive environment for everyone
About you
- You love being a psychologist and feel passionate about continued growth and development
- You enjoy working hard and balancing your work with joy and downtime with your colleagues
- Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, Medicare eligibility, Professional Insurances
- Demonstrated experience providing psychological assessment and interventions, as well as experience managing a clinical caseload
- Familiarity with the Code of Conduct and Competencies for psychologists
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- ABN holder
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong consideration will be given to candidates with experience or interest in working with adolescents and adults with eating disorders, couples, or children and adolescents
