About the role

Sally Hansen Electrical is a small business offering a diverse range of electrical services, primarily across residential and small commercial settings. We have established an excellent reputation built on reliability, expertise and friendly customer-focused service.

We are looking for a full-time, qualified electrician to join our team. Our new team-mate will be passionate about their trade and interested in working for a purpose-driven organisation, who are proud to provide an inclusive and respectful service to a diverse range of clients, including the elderly, survivors of domestic violence, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

What you’ll be doing:

- Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in residential and commercial properties. No solar or air-conditioning

- Conducting electrical safety inspections and testing to ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and regulations

- Diagnosing electrical faults and troubleshooting issues to provide effective solutions

- Adhering to all health and safety procedures and maintaining a safe and respectful work environment

- Communicating professionally with clients and providing clear explanations of electrical work

- Keeping accurate records of work undertaken and maintaining job documentation

- Supporting other operational activities when required

- An excellent communicator, who is able to build positive and respectful working relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers

Essential selection criteria





- Current Unrestricted Electrical Licence recognised in South Australia

- Proven experience working as a qualified Electrician

- Robust knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations and Australian Standards relevant to electrical installations

- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics and electrical plans

- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

- Reliable, professional attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills

- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to various work sites across Adelaide
