Join a small business where you'll learn much more than retail

Logan City Trophy Centre is an established local business specialising in trophies, medals, engraving, name badges, corporate awards and personalised products.

We're looking for a reliable and capable person to join our small team in a varied, hands-on role. Importantly, we're looking for someone with the potential to develop into our Assistant Manager / second-in-charge. You'll learn the business from the ground up, with the prospect to take on increasing responsibility as your knowledge and capability grow. We're hoping the right person will be ready to start stepping into some of these additional responsibilities in the New Year.

One minute you might be helping a sporting club organise its end-of-season trophies, the next assembling awards, preparing an engraving job, responding to an enquiry or making sure an urgent order is ready for collection.

You don't need experience in trophies or engraving – we'll teach you that.

What you'll be doing

Working alongside our experienced team, you'll learn the business from the ground up, including:

• Serving customers in-store and responding to phone and email enquiries
• Taking orders, assisting with quotes and helping customers select products
• Organising customer jobs and working to deadlines
• Trophy and award assembly
• Learning engraving, laser equipment and our production processes
• Learning our software and order systems
• Assisting with stock control and general store operations

About you

Previous retail, customer service or small-business experience would be highly regarded, but we're more interested in finding the right person.

You'll ideally be someone who:

• Is reliable,



organised and has excellent attention to detail
• Is friendly, confident and enjoys dealing with customers
• Is comfortable with computers and learning new software
• Enjoys practical, hands-on work
• Can prioritise competing jobs and stay calm when things get busy
• Uses initiative and notices what needs to be done
• Takes pride in getting things right
• Is keen to learn and take on greater responsibility over time

Experience in engraving, signage, printing, awards, design software or similar production work would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Opportunity to progress

Once you've learned the business and demonstrated that you're ready for greater responsibility, there is a genuine opportunity to progress into an Assistant Manager / second-in-charge role.

This could include opening and closing the store, coordinating workflow, supporting other team members and helping manage the day-to-day operation of the store when the owners aren't onsite.

Hours and pay

Approximately 15–20 hours per week across 2–3 weekdays, with the possibility of additional hours during busy periods.

This is initially a casual position, with the potential for increased hours and an ongoing part-time arrangement for the right person.

$34.76–$40.00 per hour + super, depending on experience, responsibilities and applicable Award classification.

Please note that Logan City Trophy Centre closes for approximately four weeks over the Christmas/New Year period each year.
