We are seeking a motivated Vehicle Test Engineer (ADAS) to join our growing Test & Development team. Whether you're an experienced automotive engineer or a recent graduate looking to launch your career, this is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced vehicle technologies in a hands-on engineering environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Test Team Lead, you will be responsible for planning, conducting and analysing vehicle validation testing to support a range of test and development programs. You'll work closely with engineers, technicians and stakeholders to ensure testing is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Conducting vehicle validation testing and development activities.
- Analysing test data and validating test results.
- Preparing technical reports and performance assessments.
- Supporting vehicle and test equipment setup, calibration and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining test scenarios, validation tools and testing documentation.
- Managing technical issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring testing activities are conducted safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of testing methodologies and processes.
Roster and Working Arrangements
This role operates across both regular day and rotating afternoon shifts.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics,
Computer Science or a related discipline) or equivalent industry experience.
- Data Analysis and IT Engineering qualifications may also be suitable.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Safety-focused mindset.
- Full Australian working rights.
Desirable
- Experience in automotive engineering, testing or validation.
- Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination Licence is desirable.
- Exposure to ADAS, autonomous systems or vehicle safety technologies.
- Vehicle calibration experience.
- Product development or engineering project experience.
- Data acquisition, reporting and analysis experience.
