About the role

We are seeking an experienced Handyman to join our team at Forefront Facilities in all suburbs of Melbourne. This is a full-time Subcontractor position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our clients' facilities and properties. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in keeping our clients' premises in optimal condition and addressing their maintenance needs promptly and professionally.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across multiple trade disciplines including carpentry, painting and general repairs

- Respond to maintenance requests from clients and assess work requirements to determine appropriate solutions

- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to ensure facilities remain in positive working order and to minimise downtime

- Install, repair and maintain fixtures, fittings, doors, windows,



walls and other building components

- Perform painting, decorating and surface preparation work to maintain aesthetic standards

- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work completed and materials used through internal Software (Servicem8)

- Adhere to health and safety procedures and site-specific requirements at all times

- Communicate effectively with clients and supervisors regarding work progress and any issues identified

- Organise works with clients and materials required to carry out works

- Keep your tools, vehicle and equipment in good working order and maintain a well-organised workspace

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar maintenance and repair role within the trades and services industry

- Competency across a range of maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry, painting and general repairs

- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices relevant to maintenance work

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and make sound decisions

- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members





- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces and in various environmental conditions

- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to travel between client sites

- Working with Children Check, White Card or other relevant clearances (if applicable to client requirements)
