About the role

Melbourne City Apartments is seeking a Hotel Cleaner to join our housekeeping team on a part-time basis. Based in South Melbourne VIC 3205, this role is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that our guests expect from our establishment. As a Hotel Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of our apartments and common spaces are immaculately maintained, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of Melbourne City Apartments.

What you'll be doing

- Cleaning and sanitising guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standards

- Changing bed linens, towels, and other soft furnishings in accordance with housekeeping protocols

- Vacuuming, mopping, and dusting all designated areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques

- Removing rubbish and restocking supplies such as toiletries, towels, and amenities

- Reporting any maintenance issues, damage, or repairs needed to the housekeeping supervisor

- Ensuring all cleaning chemicals and equipment are used safely and stored correctly

- Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

- Responding promptly to guest requests and maintaining a professional demeanour with all guests and staff

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in hotel, apartment, or hospitality housekeeping is highly desirable

- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

- Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, techniques, and the safe use of cleaning chemicals





- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent time management skills

- Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks, lift items, and work on your feet for extended periods

- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach

- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude towards work

- Current or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (if applicable to your state)
