About the role

You will be responsible for controlling the day-to-day movement of inventory throughout the warehouse and ensuring the operation remains organised, accurate and ready for each day's activities. This is not a desk-based inventory position. You will be someone who enjoys being on the warehouse floor and taking ownership of the daily movement and organisation of stock.

Key responsibilities

- Review daily inbound and outbound stock movements
- Coordinate where incoming pallets and products are stored
- Manage stock movements, put-away and replenishment throughout the warehouse
- Ensure stock is stored in the correct warehouse and racking locations
- Work closely with the warehouse, picking and dispatch teams
- Monitor warehouse space and help maintain an organised layout
- Identify and resolve misplaced stock and inventory discrepancies
- Assist with cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Ensure stock movements are correctly recorded in the system




- Make sure the warehouse is organised and ready for the following day's operations

About you

- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations or stock control
- Strong knowledge of warehouse stock movements and racking/location systems
- Comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and with inventory/WMS systems
- Highly organised and enjoys keeping a warehouse structured and under control
- Can communicate clearly with warehouse staff, supervisors and management
- Takes ownership and follows problems through until they are resolved
- Confident working in a busy and growing distribution environment
- Positive computer and inventory-system skills
- Forklift experience/licence would be highly regarded
