Maintas Industrial Contracting is seeking an experienced HD Diesel Fitter to join our team in a full-time position at an underground mining operation in Tasmania.
The role will involve maintaining and repairing heavy diesel mining equipment operating both above ground and underground.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Servicing and preventative maintenance
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Breakdown repairs
- Repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel mining equipment
- Working across both surface and underground areas of the mine
- Completing work safely and to site requirements

What We’re Looking For
- Trade-qualified HD Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Heavy mining equipment experience
- Underground mining experience highly regarded
- Robust diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current driver's licence
- Strong safety focus
- Reliable and able to work independently and within a crew
