About the role

Pekarna Cafe & Bakehouse is looking for a baker to join our small team and help us produce our range of European sweet and savoury pastries and baked goods in-house. We are open to people with all levels of experience. If you're a qualified pastry chef or experienced baker, that's fantastic. But if you're someone who simply loves baking at home, has a good understanding of food and enjoys working with their hands, we'd also love to hear from you. Training will be provided to learn our recipes, products and methods.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and baking our range of in-house sweet and savoury products

- Following recipes and maintaining consistent quality

- Preparing ingredients and keeping the baking area clean and organised





- Learning our existing products and baking methods

- Helping out in the cafe when needed, including making coffee and serving customers

About you

- A genuine interest in baking and food

- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn

- Good attention to detail and pride in what you produce

- Ability to work independently once trained

- Skilled baking or pastry experience is preferred, but not essential

- A qualified pastry chef would be highly regarded

- Ability and willingness to occasionally help with coffee and customers would be a bonus
