About the role
We're looking for an experienced and fully qualified hands-on photographer and videographer to create branded content, campaigns and run our social channels day to day. You'll produce photo and video content for our website and social channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube), manage those accounts, and work closely with the marketing team so everything you make lines up with our campaigns, values and brand. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, creative and driven individual who is outstanding with people and fully trained and experienced with a professional grade camera and editing software.
About us
SMAI produces quality equipment for boxing, martial arts and functional fitness. From Boxing Gloves and Karate Gi's to All-in-One Functional Trainers, we have over 3000 products in stock. Our global community is everything to us and our athletes, partners and customers give us a steady stream of stories to tell.
We're after a creator who can run the whole job: plan the shoot, shoot it, cut it, and put it live.
You'll be on location and in the studio every week with our products, our athletes and our partners. You'll edit short-form video for Reels, TikTok and paid ads, brief the team making static creative, and keep our channels posting to a cadence that doesn't slip. You'll create and work off the campaign calendar and our sales events sheet, so you know what's needed and when — and when you spot a gap, you fill it without being asked. Each day can range from, taking pics and editing the newest SMAI products that have landed in our warehouse for the website, to shooting static and video content in a local gym. Your efficiency and organisation are everything as no two days are the same. You will work with a fun and supportive team and feel at home in a family run business.

Plan around sales events and campaigns
- Work from our events spreadsheet (Excel), the single source of truth for which events we're running, what content each one needs and when it's due
- Make sure every due date is met for content going to the ads team for sales events
- Brainstorm creative ideas for content around sales events
- Coordinate with marketing and paid media to understand what creative is needed and what is performing
- Build a content plan around the campaign calendar with the Marketing & Growth Lead
- Spot gaps in the content calendar and organise new content yourself, rather than waiting to be assigned individual videos
Run social and enage with the creative team
- Engage with team members producing static creatives for posts
- Manage our social accounts: post content, respond to comments and triage customer enquiries
- Make sure the agreed posting cadence for social is kept
