About the Opportunity

You may have seen Franz Building Supplies recruiting recently, and there's a good reason for that. The business is growing and the team is evolving, with people moving into new roles and taking on new challenges within the business.

That's created another opportunity for the right person to join the Client Service team.

This is a busy, hands-on role working with builders and trades across the counter, by phone and via email. You'll manage enquiries, quotes and orders, build relationships with regular clients and help find practical solutions for their projects.

You don't need to know every answer. Franz is looking for someone who is curious, organised and positive with people — someone who asks positive questions, takes initiative and genuinely enjoys figuring out how they can help.

If you have an interest or passion for design, buildings or construction, even better. You'll be supported by an experienced team while building your product knowledge, industry relationships and confidence.

Role Description

Help builders and trades with enquiries, quotes and orders while coordinating with suppliers and the warehouse team and following client requirements through from initial enquiry to delivery.

Responsibilities Will Include:

- Assisting clients across the counter, by phone and via email

- Preparing accurate quotations and processing orders

- Coordinating with suppliers, the warehouse team and clients

- Building strong relationships with builders, trades and regular customers

- Taking ownership of enquiries and following things through to delivery

This Role Will Suit Someone With:

- Experience in customer service, internal sales,



trade sales or building supplies — or strong customer service/sales experience from another sector and a genuine interest in the building industry

- A genuine interest in design, buildings, construction or how things come together

- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships

- Good numeracy, organisation and attention to detail

- Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn

- The ability to manage competing priorities, work with urgency and think “what else, what next?”
