About the role

Nugent Wallman & Carter is seeking an experienced Property Law Solicitor to join our team on a contract basis. 3 days a week for 6 months. Immediate start. You should be proficient with PEXA and good property law knowledge. It would be a bonus if you have experience in litigation. We are a small law firm based in Woollahra. A team of three lawyers and we work as a team. We are looking for someone with superb attention to detail and a good legal thinker. At present we have an overflow of work and we are looking for an amenable, easy going team player to join us.

Key responsibilities

- Drafting, reviewing legal documents and contracts

- Conducting property searches, title investigations and due diligence reviews

- Managing client communication and providing clear, practical guidance

- Liaising with real estate agents, local councils and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions

- Identifying potential legal risks and providing strategic advice to mitigate issues

- Maintaining accurate file management and ensuring compliance with practice management systems

- Contributing to the efficient delivery of client matters whilst maintaining the highest professional standards

What we're looking for

- Admission as a solicitor with 3-4 years post-admission qualification experience in property law

- Strong knowledge of property conveyancing law, including residential and commercial transactions

- Proficiency with PEXA and legal practice management systems





- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients clearly

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously

- Demonstrated ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with colleagues

- A practical, problem-solving approach to legal matters and client service

- Current practicing certificate and law society membership
