We are seeking motivated applicants who are ready to commence a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician apprenticeship with our host employer based in Cairns. This is a great opportunity to start your career, you will be working on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), gaining exposure to contemporary electrical infrastructure, technology driven systems, and networking components with long-term career development opportunities.

We are looking for someone:
Has a genuine interest in becoming a qualified electrician
Is motivated, reliable, and ready to learn
Has a robust work ethic and positive attitude
Can follow instructions and work safely
Has positive attention to detail and problem solving skills
Is comfortable working as part of a team
Is comfortable working at heights
Is willing to attend and successfully complete required training
Has good computer and IT skills
Has an interest in programming, technology and how systems operate
Holds, or willing to obtain, a White Card
Holds a current driver licence
Has reliable transport to attend work and training




Is committed to completing their electrical apprenticeship
Ability to work day and night shifts (penalities apply)

Willingness to travel to local deports and attend tafe
Additional requirements
Ability to provide two qualified references
Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
Certificate II in Electrotechnology
